what body to frame bushings should i use ? these ones http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...0368691343&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT ? or this type http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...0244714725&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT ?

and on the rear frame rails where the bushings go there is a fine/thin metal band that extends down from the frame how important is this ? mine is rusted away .

also what keeps the K frame from moving around ? the original bushings had a square metal box that fit firm into the holes of the frame the replacement ones do not look to be as well made . here is a pick of a 73-74 K frame

Don't know what to tell ya, put here is a pic from 74 RR from Chryler dealer parts catalog that might come in handy for you, also e you about pics of alt brackets on 74 RR/GTX, did you ever find Brackets?

My personal opinion, get the solid bushings from Firmfeel. It's a high quality kit. I think the bands you are refering to were only to hold the shims to the mounts at the factory during assembly.

A friend back east made mine for me. Solid aluminum. It really helped stiffen the nose on my bird.

Yes you can. There is a thread here about someone putting poly bushings in with the K still installed. I was doing the big block/4speed swap on mine at the time.

You guys realize that you are replying to a 2 yr old thread, right!.
