Quick question-will a k frame from a 66 Charger (early build) work properly in a 69 RoadRunner? The one from my 69 has a dent in the bottom- fixable but will take some time. I have one from a 66 Charger in nice shape. They look the same, but I want to be positive before I proceed!

Yeah, should be fine, just depends on how early build we're talkin'.... if it's early, early, early build the sway bar mounting will be different

I believe the idler arm is different. You could use the idler arm from a 66.

Ironically imjust finished putting a late 69 K in my 66 charger.....yes they are interchangeable and you can use the 66 front swaybar on your 69. The idler is different as well and i switched because of the heavier idler mountBut how bad and where is the dent ?

The dent isn't a deal breaker-it's on the underside, like someone bottomed the car out. I'll probably fix it now that I know about the idler mount being havier on the 69. Anyone need an early 66 k member? I have the swaybar setup with it.

That's a good call, the 68 and up idler is far superior. I've swapped out a few 66-67 ones with 68 or 9 just for the better idler.
