I know a guy who is parting out a '63 New Yorker, he already pulled the 413 and push button 727. I was thinking about picking up the engine, trans and probably the rear end to put in my '64 440 which is a slant 6. I'm not sure if the k-member would fit under my car since I didn't think it was a b-body car. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

63-65 b body 8 cyl k frame will allow you to bolt the big block in place, New Yorker is a c body

Thanks for the reply, i've also heard that a 66-69 b-body k-member might work any info on that?

The later model Kmembers ('66 and up) will work but the set the engine back and inch or so if I recall. There are threads here about that topic.

The C-body rear housing is too wide for your car!The center section will fit your original housing! You'll need the 63-65 B-body K member for ease of installation, also either the stock manifolds for the early big block-headers or the 68-70 h-p manifolds b-body.
