Ok guys, but of a technical question here, just wondering what's the difference between a 71-72 b body K member and the 73 K member. I notice there are a lot of companies that make tubular K members for the 71/72 but only one makes one for the 73 and as far as I can tell they only sell complete front end assemblies and I'm looking for just the K member. Would it be possible to swap a 72 tubular member into a 73?

71/72 is quite different from the 73/74. I don't know if there is a single part from the K-frame down to the spindle nuts that interchanges. I also believe the mounting bolt locations are quite different from each year set.

Well it was worth a shot. Why does no one sell just the K member for anything past 72?

Yep, totally different.

Even causes the bumper to mount differently.

73 and up has thick rubber isolator bushings, 72 and down is solid mount with no bushings.

However, the good news for you is that 73 all the way up until 1978 is interchangeable. 1979 is too but no big blocks in 79.

This means a Cordoba K frame will work for you and they made a LOT of 400 powered Cordobas.

The 72 and down is K Member and 73 and up is actually a Subframe . The 73 and up Chassis was what Chrysler called a Modified Subframe Chassis .
