I was just wondering if any of you have ran these in a high hp car? The reason I ask is Im looking at these for my twin turbo build, but upgradeing the bolts to ARP 625+ bolts which offer better clamping then the 2000s. Im looking to make 1500hp maybe boost up to 2000hp if I want to turn the boost up. I know everyone usually goes with Oliver but if they work the same, plus the fact that turbos are easier on internals, a forged crank and pistons, and billet rods should be able to handle it.

Thanks

I have two sets of K1 rods for both my HEMI's and one 4.15" crank. I haven't run them yet but had one HEMI balanced and no complaints from the shop. The pin bushings are spot on and so is the width of the big end. I have heard that the K1 stuff is about the best you can buy short of going to Crower. And I don't think the rods are billet. If I remember the conversation with Tom Molnar correctly they start out as a forging.

Thanks for that info, on the site it says billet, but ill check it out more. Glad to know they are good stuff.

Yea they offer the forged I beams and the billet H beam rods made from 4340 steel.

I have seen them on dyno with 1500hp.I would personally spend the money on the olivers for insurance. From what I here K1 has gone thru changes wich may not be for the best.Time will tell.
