Hi all, got this car with this mystery carburetor (no names, numbers, stamps..) and the kickdown has been ignored and it's loose.

Would this bracket solve the problem?

Thank you.

Well don't drive it until you have that transmission "throttle" linkage hooked up, or you'll be doing the transmission next ...unless it's got a manual valve body in it.

The gold bracket is an Edelbrock part, there are more than one type, but, doesn't that trans pump pressure rod need to be up with the throttle cable? Will be going into the wrong direction if below.

God know for how long the car is being driven like that. And drove her 100 miles back home. But I agree, and that's why this is one of the priorities at the moment. I wonder if a kickdown kit like the one in the pic attached will do the trick?

The rod is just sitting there, completely loose.
