The kickdown linkage is not hooked up in my car (68 Superbee 383) and I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of a stock setup. I just bought a piece that I think I was missing to connect it to the carb but not sure. Any help would be great thanks Jim

This is off a 70rr. While the carb and intake and most everything else in the photo isn't stock...the kickdown linkage is.

I apologize for the photo quality. It was dark out when I took these photos but hopefully it can help you. If not maybe someone else has better pics.

Thanks for the picture. I think I have somthing a little different. One single piece for the kickdown but I will have to check. Jim

I was able to finally look at what I have and it is just like yours. Now is the kickdown floating there or is it locked in that position? Thanks again Jim

Not real sure what you mean by "floating there". So I am going to guess:

The area in the yellow box is where the linkage arm from the transmission connects. Don't know if that is what you were wondering or not.

Sorry, At the connection to the carb linkage right by the throttle cable and in the slot is there a plastic peace that the kick down centers itself in. This is probably not making any sense but thanks for the help

This pick shows the spacer nut on the linkage arm shaft

This pic shows a closer view of a washer held on by a hairpin on the outer side in the yellowish green box.

The kickdown linkage just slides over the linkage arm shaft and is held loosely in place by the spacer nut on the inside and the washer/hairpin on the outside. The red box shows a bolt/nut that keeps the kickdown linkage in place when moving back and forth upon acceleration.

Thanks thats all I should need to get that set up right. Thanks again for all of the help and hope to be able to test that out within a few months. Much more to do but getting there. Jim
