Anyone use these KYB gas shocks?

Anyone use these KYB gas shocks?
Yes, they are stiff, really stiff. Good shocks but if its a street car, I wouldn't use them. I made a mistake on a 68 barracuda I use to own and installed these along with heavier torsion bars, SS rear springs and poly bushings in the control arms. The car held the road and handled better but you felt EVERY bump in the road.

I'm running KYB's on my car now and I'm happy with them. They don't feel all that stiff to me....about stock. I'm also running SS springs.

kyb will give a "rough" ride as compared to bilstein or koni

For the price they cannot be beat but they are rough. For those running ss springs I don't believe they make one long enough for the rear that allows the springs to extend. I had to find an oddball Dakota shock on my 62 and will need to do the same on my X as at full extension it holds the spring up.

I did the KYBs off of RockAuto over the winter, front and rear. I think the car rides soft, definitely not harsh at all. I think they were the Gas-Adust or something like that.

I would buy them again.

I put of full set of KYB on my RR couple years and am pleased with ride, I don't find it stiff at all. Couldn't justify spending over 3x as much to buy Bilsteins for 1-2,00 miles a year.
