Hello all,

The rear of my car isn't sagging, so I don't want to replace the leaf springs. But they need new bushings and new clamps, so I would like to restore them.

Does anyone know where you can find parts or a kit to recondition the original springs?

Mancini Racing has kits

Front eye bushings are a pain to change (most new leaf springs come with them already installed), the rear bushings are a piece of cake & you can buy the U-bolts at most auto parts stores.

Rebuild kits are available depending upon how complete your wanting to take the process. The basic kits that most of the restoration vendors are selling will include the correct number of plastic spacers, clamps and metal liners. We are in the process of making a master kit for the vendors that will include the front spring eye bushings, rear bushings, U-bolts, center eye bolt plus the spacers, clamps and liners as mentioned earlier. The kits are specific to the car body type and engine configuration. So when ordering the kits, you will need to know if your car was originally equipped with the Extra Heavy Duty suspension as found under the 440 and Hemi applications or the 383 / 340 configuration.

I tried to PM you, but I couldn't find the option. Do you represent a specific company?

67 GTX, I will send you a private message, just let me know if you are unable to open or receive.

Inquiring minds want to know..Let us know how to get it. Sounds like a great kit !!

Not sure if you can still get them but front poly bushings were available and they are easy to install.

We have available the kits assembled based on the year model and engine configuration as a 69 Charger RT with the 440 uses a different front spring eye bushing than a 69 Charger SE with a 383 engine. The kits also factors in the additional clamps, spacers and liners required for the half springs as found on the Extra Heavy Duty suspension option as found on the 440 and Hemi drive trains. The deluxe kit also factors in that the U-bolts are slightly longer for Dana equipped cars. The eight rear spring bushings are the same no matter the engine configuration. The A-Body leaf springs are slightly different as well, especially the rear bushings which are unique to that application. Just private message me concerning your particular application questions.
