Hey all,
Ive tried to lube em and torch em...I hit em with the breaker bar and impact.
Nothing...wont budge.

Anyone see any problems with me just cutting them off?
What would be the best and easiest way? Ive never had to cut off a stuck bolt or nut before...so Im not sure what to use.

Thanks and btw, its a 69 Coronet...not that it really matters...

I just use a sawzall that way there's no sparks in the shop or around the gas tank ;) Just don't cut the leafs them selves lol.

My mechanic just used a plasma cutter and away they came!

It was also a 69 Coronet...it just so happens. ;-)

Careful, they'll "pop" a bit when you cut through. They are under tension.

Got air tools? I had froze u-bolts on a trailer that I'm told were 48 Ford pickup springs and front axle. Used my air cut-off tool.

I used a die grinder on mine...U bolts are cheap anyways..

I quit trying to get the nuts to back off years ago. Sawzall or cutoff wheel is the way to go. I usually just cut it at the top and swing them outwards and they drop right out.
