Because this is being the protouring section, lets show some protouring wheels and tires and don't forget to mention the brand, specs (size, backspacing, mini tubs, etc.)...

Here's mine:

Wheel & tire package 17X8 (front) and 17X9 (rear) American Racing T70R's with Nitto NT555 P255/45ZR17 & P285/40ZR17 95W

To do it all over again I would have gone a totally different direction and likely 18's front and 19's rear is that is the look I will eventually want to attain. Will consider a mini-tub when I replace my trunk pan to make some extra room too before I go to my next wheels/tires.

Something along these lines is what I want

Dude, I like your current ones better:headbang:

I'm on Coys C5 20" 10" wide rear

And Coys C5 18" 8" wide in the front

In order to look somewhat symmetrical with the disc brakes - the rear discs are a bit bigger than the fronts...

My Charger is still in the build, but I am running 20x8.5" (4.5 BackSpace) Front & 20x10" (5.5 Backspace) Rear Ridler 695 Wheels.

The tyres are Mickey Thompson Street Comp 245/45/20 Front & 275/40/20 Rear.

With the combination of the custom IFS & custom length Moser diff, the tyres fit reall nice front and rear without any mods to the body at all.

I am running Wilwood 14" Rotors front & Rear, With Wilwood 6 Piston Calipers Front & Wilwood 4 Piston Calipers rear.

Everything seems to clear eachother nicely.

Rob.

I really need some help. I will have the aluminum Rally wheels (see pic) for my 70 Dana 60 equipped Roadrunner, but what I need help with is the wheel and tire size and offset that will allow the widest patch of rubber in the stock rear fenderwells, and can I get them to match the one pictured if it is some kind of special "custom" wheel. There are a number of outlets for the wheel pictured, and they come in 8" or 9" with 4.5 or 5" backspacing. If that doesn't allow for the most width inside the rear fenders, where can I find an identical wheel in the right size and what is that size? Screenshot_2015-05-10-20-49-35-1.jpg

68-70 dodges i know you can fit a 12" wheel in the rear and a 10" in the front max. for safe distance 8" front and 10" rear. with no body mods.
305 tire will fit in the rear but 295 is safer.
roughly 5" backspace for the rear will give roughly 1" gap each side of tire for a 295 tire.
best to get some measurements before you order, some of the big wheel companies ahve a measuring sheet you can use

If you want to be sure, but the Percy's measuring tool...

yeh good idea too, I have a percys wheelrite, only problem is it does not simulate the tyre very well as it uses a piece of wire

I will see if they already make a 10" version of this wheel. If not, I may just get the 9" 5"backspace for the rear, and 8" for the front (not going too wide on the front anyway) as I am looking for that overall appearance. Thanks a lot! If that isn't wide enough, I will have to consider having the rear wheels made to copy that look, and mini tub (or tub) the rear with some plan to relocate the rear springs and possible 4 link setup. I am more focused on a straight line performance look and result. Thanks again!

if going mini tub and 4 link might as well chuck a 345 tire behind there

depends on whether or not I'm satisfied with the appearance and performance of what I can get without tubbing, but thanks

alright I've finally made a decision and bought my wheels...no tires yet...going to wait and see how much room is left...I went with 18x8 & 18x9 1/2 so we'll see how she turns out fingers crossed...they are US Mag Rambler and they were $900 a set...

Imo. Go wider up front. I did 8.5 on the front with 19". I don't like it, it's set too far into the wheel well. I would do a 285 front when I can afford a pair of tires and rims again... Next year maybe.

Would 18x9 up front and 19x10 on the rear would be possible? That's what I would like to go for... Only thing is the backspacing. For the front it will be 4.5. For the rear they say 5 or 5.5. Can't figure it out yet...

the guy working on my car runs 18x9 1/2 295's on all 4 corners if I'm not mistaken...I would of gone wider up front but just didn't want to spend 3-4 times more on a custom wheel back space combo just to get an extra 1" or 2...just not worth the money IMO and really I'm not road racing the car every weekend so I think the combo works great for the price, there is a Ridler wheel that runs 18x9 1/2 and 18x8 1/2 combo for like 650 shipped...same company that I bought my US Mags from...that is a really good deal and size for the cash.... http://www.ebay.com/usr/custom-performance-products is who I got the wheels from...they have all kinds of combos for wheels...check them out

I really like these two styles of wheels from American Racing
mine if I go to this style will only be
17's x 7-8" [? 4"-bs] up front & 18's x 9-10" [? 5"-bs] out back

I want to still keep some sidewall & a somewhat vintage 60's look too

1st choice
Bonneville VN470
http://www.americanracing.com/wheels/VN470/VN4704

Shelby Cobra polished
{not sure I want the polished or not}
http://www.americanracing.com/wheels/VN427/VN4271

2nd choice
Shelby Cobra grey centers/as cast
http://www.americanracing.com/wheels/VN427/VN4073

I like the wheels I have now too, just thinking about going larger diameter
they are 15x 7" {4"-bs} 245/60 & 15 x 9.5" 295/50 {5"-bs} Edelbrock/Halibrand Kidney Knock off

Go 18x8 up front and 19x10 in the rear. Fits a B-body very well!

Nice choice!!!!!!!!!! Here's my Charger lowered 2" with US MAG RAMBLERS 19 X 10s out back and 18 X 8s in the front, zero offset on both.
