Light for back of short console in 67 charger

We are almost at the end of restoring a 67 Charger. We've heard and read about a light at the back of the short console. I have the back plate that finishes the console, but there is a gap at the bottom. Is that where the light goes? I can't even seem to find a picture of how it should look "finished". I've googled for many parts during this resto, but this console back light has me stumped. Can anyone help? pics or links to where I can get the light? Thanks

I'm not sure if the light was a b body option....try looking at C body consoles of similar years. Some C bodies used the same console.

I don't think there's a light back there. You may or may not have one in the glove box, and of course the two on the sides up by the driver/passenger's feet. What you might be referring to is a metal bracket that finishes out that area. It's a right angle, and the bottom is contoured to the transmission tunnel.

Post a picture and we can all figure it out.

There was no light back there to my knowledge.
The electrical diagrams in the Service Manual show everything, including optional equipment... I looked and there is nothing on the diagram.

no light at rear of "B" body console, it was a "C" body thing, also kinda rare. never offered in the Charger of any year

Thanks everyone for your answers. I guess the one we saw in the past was an "adaption" by someone restoring theirs. Also, once the back plate was actually installed onto the console, there is no gap.

Yup, a "C"-body piece. BTW, the '67 - '70 "B" & "C" consoles are the SAME. Only differences are what style of top (ribbed, smooth stainless look, or woodgrain) was on the console. The '66 is a two-piece on "B" & "C" cars, because of the console extension on the '66 Chargers, and the filler "butt" piece on the other console cars. The '70 Chrysler has a different console (look at a '70 300-H as an example).

I have one installed in my car just because I wanted it I don't have a problem even though it's not original to the car
