FOR SALE Lightened TRW 12.5 forged pistons for 340

Used TRW L2322+.030 forged pistons for 340 engines, lightened and gas ported by Patterson Racing. Internal skirt and dome milling, lightening holes above wrist pin (6) and pin holes bored and re-grooved for .990 BB Chevy wrist pins and double spirolox. Would require your rods to be honed approx. .006" from factory .984" pin holes. Pistons measure 4.062-4.063 @ measurement point, 1/16 x 1/16 x 3/16 ring grooves. The bad......ring grooves are showing some wear, top grooves wore .001-3" figuring factory @.064" groove. Don't have the correct wrist pins for these, but have a new set of .990 pins that would have to be shortened, I will include. Pistons are 547 grams. If someone thinks they can make use of these.... $75 + shipping for the set with pins and spirolox. The lightening, gas porting and wrist pin boring and re-grooving was in the $700 range back in the day. Hate to scrap them, maybe good race part art.

Can the dome be milled off or is the dome to thin on the underside? Would a guy use this as a press fit pin? Thanks. Kim

Domes cannot be milled off as they are lightened under the dome.
Press pin or floating pin is determined by the rod, not the piston.
