So, I have this 1971 Satellite coupe that I have had since I was a teenager. It's been sitting in the garage for a little while now and I recently got the bug to get it out and running again. Actually, I am going to be moving again :angryfire: so I NEED to get it in running condition. So I am here to hopefully get a little help with getting it going again.

I am not a great auto mechanic, but I have a thirst for knowledge and willingness to learn. So I am hoping to make a few internet friends and learn a few things maybe I didn't know before.

Sorry, I don't have any pics of my car, they always seem to end up getting deleted/lost :eusa_think: I'll try to put some up soon. Thanks.

Jake

Has a 1977 440 with your average mods, out to an 8 3/4 rear with 3.55 gears. Just installed a new Summit multi spark ignition box and wow what a difference that made!

Looks nice Jake & welcome to the FBBO forum

Looks like the body's in good shape.

There are tail light lenses on ebay right now.

Yeah, and last time I looked they ain't cheap either . I still have the original pair, and they are not busted up but they are dull and have some crazing/hairline cracking going on. I tried out the Meguiars headlight plastic polishing kit, but that only took me so far. I am going to try a few other methods before I fork out the dough for some repop lenses.

OK, so I get her moved out of the garage today after work. Got the brakes unfroze, so I needed to cleanse a years worth of dust and dead bugs and give her a wash n' wax. I forgot waxing the lines on this car are almost as good as sex. Yeah, TMI whatever. So I got the camera out and shot a few more pics, but it was sunset so they're a bit grainy.

Engine bay shot, you can see the new Summit multi spark box on the firewall,

...ya know, I did find myself carressing the hips, er uh, I mean quarters and wheel well openings on my 73 while washing it the other day. especially right between the front of the wheel and the window! Tops of the doors and fenders are nice too!
