Most new sets I come a cross have mech water temp with a tube? I use the factory sensor and wire now on a Stewart Warner gauge. what's with the tube on the se new ones?

For the life of me I can't find a triple set of gauges that has a mech oil, electrical temp and volt meter all in one set guess the only thing to do is get them individually and make my own.

what do you mean by "tube" big man?

i bought a 3 cluster set from summit that has mechanical oil press (hooked it up from the old gauge that was a sunpro), volt meter and water temp.

in the second pic, the brass part...that's the sensor. it's kinda tube shaped...more like a bullet shape.

I bought mine at Auto Zone, water, volt, and oil... I don't know what you mean by tube, The water has a end i guess that could resemble one, the sensor that fits in where you place it, Intake on my car..

the"tube"you refer to is the mechanical sensor connection.sounds like your current setup is electrical(thereby using only wires to connect to sensor)the mechanical sensors are much more accurate and reliable.plus, any after market electrical guages are gonna have there own sender(much larger then the factory sender)so you would end up replacing your factory sender anyhow.
