Hi guys I know you've probably seen this a million times before but I'm really really having trouble finding a shop (or person) that will Final Block and paint the Satellite. I'm really looking for someone who works on (Restores) older cars and is not just a collision shop.

The car currently is just coming off the Rotisserie and has had all Major Metal, Rust, and Fab work completely done and is sealed in at least 3 coats epoxy primer. All filler work is done and has 3 coats of 2K High Build that has been roughly blocked out.

Engine Bay, Trunk, and Chassis have all been done and need to be protected from Over-spray.

Car will be sprayed Viper Silver (that I will supply) along with any primers that are needed.

I just want someone else to put their eye/hands on it and do final Panel Gaping, Blocking, and Prepping for BC/CC

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Car can be seen in my build thread here: 66 Satellite

Depending on wait time and how much your willing to spend....Totally Auto in Feasterville Pa

I have a guy in the Buffalo NY area- very trustworthy and dependable. PM for info.

That's always an issue. I'm currently looking for a talented/fair guy to do several of my cars. My guy [RIP] did stuff that went to Pebble Beach, but was down to earth... and didn't try to gouge ya. Another guy like him, would get all my work.

Hoping to get this done for under $4,000 and I'll supply the Primer, Base, and Clear. As far as time would like to have it back by late march if possible.

Go to car shows, talk talk talk to people. Were they got there car done.Find someone your comfortable with and get references and a few of them. Go with your instincts if your not happy with the shop and be very cautious with how much money you front them, many get it in writing. But and don't take offense you may find body guys that are not thrilled with how you bring then your car. They may want to do much more blocking and body work to get the desired results they want on a car they paint. Good luck

Don't consider Shelly's Auto Body in Danielsville, Pennsylvania. Crook. Thief. Worse. Rear window scratcher. Liar.

HI, my name is WAYNE CAWLEY I live in PA. In a little town called white deer. I do paint work & body on the side to make a few extra bucks. I have painted many mopars. I just got done with my dads 62 polara (black) & his 67 gtx (bright blue) Not sure in NJ where your at. I never been to NJ, but I am going there on the 16th to the Island drag strip. I would be interested in painting your 66. I can post or send you some pictures of cars that I have done. Have a good one

best body man I know is John Lange at elegant motorcars in Englewood NJ. He has been in business since 1970 and knows mopars well. He does everything from full restoration to rust repair, does amazing work on gto's to classic lambos and rolls. Tremendous knowledge and skill and has a solid crew, which means he turns out the work fast.

Good to know since he's in my back yard. How's his prices? Reasonable?

very reasonable and honest. I have seen the craziest cars in his shop. He was helping out a local kid with his 78 Camaro, first car and gave him as much attention as the guy with a 50's full wood interior rolls Royce. Restomod 55 ford truck, he does it all and is very down to earth. I met a fellow b body guy in ft lee and he takes his cars there too. He's not a graveyard cars resto guy for mopes but his body work is beyond reproach. Worth just stopping by to talk to him about a project. He is still a pro though, stays busy and on point as the shop does some collision work. I like that because I know he wont sit on projects. A prep and paint would be right in his wheelhouse an would likely be turned around quickly.

Perfect this is just the kind responses I was hoping for. I will make some phone calls today and see what happens.

I would like to use Sigel Enterprises in a few years once my R/T starts to show its age. The body shop that did it a few years ago did an excellent job, but put too much bondo on certain areas like the drivers door and hood. I have original replacement panels ready for the dented bondo filled ones and Sigel will be on my radar.
