Looking for guidance 67 dodge coronet

going to a 1 wire and I'm in the process of bypassing my voltage regulator and my ballast. The info I found said to splice the wires together that go to the ballast and hook em up to the 2 wires from the msd for key power. Remove the other voltage regulator wires and then just run a big 4ga power wire to battery and a 4 ga ground wire to frame ect and that should be it. Anyone have anything else to add

I always find a Key hot wire that is not hooked to the MSD.
I always worry about anything extra on the MSD circuit.

But I am a worry wart kind of guy!
