Hi Guys,

My Dad and I have discussed several times how cool it would be if we found any info on his 1971 GTX he owned during high school. It was a GY9 Tawny Gold 440+6 Super Trak Pack car with the A833 4 speed and a dana rear. He lived in eastern Iowa and owned the car from 1972-1974. He sold the car to some kid in Ames, Iowa. The "some kid" part most likely means it was later wrecked and sent off to a junkyard but who knows.

If you have any leads, I'd be interested to hear about them!

If you have a license plate # or VIN # you could do a D-M-V search possibly... good luck

Hey - you never know. I found my '70 GTX from my high school days about 20 years after I sold it. It was nice to know it was still around. I've since lost track of it, but I'm confident it still lives. Good luck with your search.

if you don't mind spending money take adds out in some of the traders ,also hemmings motor news and try hiring a lawyer to do a trace on it

I'm not that vigorous on searching for it. It has more or less been just web searching what I know. I may try to dig up some of his high school pictures to see if I can spot a plate but from what I remember him saying, the pictures are some really faded polaroid's....

Thanks

Charlie
