I am looking for the original engine for my 71 Charger R/T. I would be Grateful if you could please have a look at your 440 if it is not original to your car. The last three serial number digits were cold chiseled off the block. All that remains of the VIN along the oil pan rail is A1 139 - - - The Casting date is probably between May and August time frame. Cars build date was Dec. 9, 1970. The block was seen years ago in the Seattle Wa. area but no info after that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's going to be a stretch without a serial VIN number. Any insurance documents at all to go from?

Yes, I do have the complete serial number but the last 3 digits were chiseled off the pan rail on the block. It would be easy to recognize the block with the first part of the VIN still on the pan rail, A1 139 - - -
