looking for Polara parts

I have two different Polaras in the shop.

#1 looking for a gas gauge for a 64 dodge polara- already checked the sending unit and grounded the gauge sender. gauge is not responding.

#2 looking for a speedometer drive gear for a 61 polara.

Double check your gauge using a 9v radio battery (can't hurt it that way) I just hook alligator clips with short wires onto the battery and touch the terminals on the gauge to see if the needle moves. Reverse the wires and the needle should move the other way (if so your gauge is ok). If you have access to an ohm meter you can really check the sending unit by physically moving the float the ohm reading should change.
