Car is in signature, about 600rwhp. I am currently running Nitto NT05r drag radials, 275width on 15” Basset wheels. 8” wide out back. Stock wheel wells, no tubs.
I’d like to switch to a normal street tire next year, as I take frequent long road trips in the car. I’m aware that nothing is going to grip on the street like drag radials, but they have several downsides.
They wheel hop when not heated up.
They wear very fast.
They are expensive.
Are there any street tire suggestions from the forum? Something that grips a little better than Goodyear radial TAs? In my modern muscle cars, I have used “summer tires” which grip much better in the warmer three seasons, but it seems like most summer tires don’t come in 15”.
