Hi everyone, I am new to the group. Thanks for letting me join. The turn signal lever on my Roadrunner is very loose and sloppy. Can anyone give me advice on how to tighten it. Hope it's not a long drawn out job!! Tom M
I think 747 Mopar is right I have the same problem with my 66 satellite I hate to have to pull the steering wheel but I'm going to have to oh, I guess the bright side is it's a long screw oddly too long in my opinion it's not likely to ever fall off its just going to remain sloppy and if you wiggle it and pull it towards the steering wheel you can find where it's seats , I'm thinking you just need to tighten the screwy enough to take up the slack once it's seatedYou'll have to pull the steering wheel to check it out, with any luck the bolt just needs tightening.
At Mopars in the Park one year a fellow with a beautiful '69 Coronet R/T survivor car had the same issue. We went for a walk around the swap meet area and bought a couple screwdivers. A phillips to remove the horn ring from the wheel and a small long standard to tighten the offending screw on the lever. Took minutes and didn't have to pull the wheel.
