I owned a numbers matching fully restored 72 RR with 44K for 3 years and then sold it like an idiot. A guy in CA bought it and then sold it to a friend that lost it last Fall in the CA wild fires. A damn shame. I wish the original guy I sold it to had spared me the details!

Thanks,

Man, I kinda know how you feel. I had a 71 Charger I loved back in the 80's and I sold it. seen it in the junkyard totaled while I was looking for truck parts 6 mo later.

Once you sell 'em, forget 'em. All there is is disappointment down the road.

a sad ending to that story...

Awful. I am sorry I opened this post. Even more sorrow for the owner... Love the 72's

The car looked like it was in running condition. IF he had time it looks like he could have parked it over in the woods and it would have survived maybe had some ember damage but not an inferno...

That really sucks!

Yeah it was in full running and driving condition as far as I know. I know the 71-72 RR's are getting harder to find in any kind of restorable condition.

Its sad to lose a classic car, even more sad to lose your entire house and belongings.

I feel your pain but selling it and losing it is one thing. Losing it and having to look at it everyday is another,
