I have 2 small block 360 blocks both are rebuildable. 1 needs a honing (has small damaged spot on bottom of 1 cyl from previous rod contact but was rebuilt and ran afterward by marshall engines) and the other needs boring, honing and cam bearings
Coming with these blocks are:
(1) 2-barrel intake manifold
(2) 2 sets of small block heads, casting 915 and 576 ...1.88 intake, 1.60 exhaust 1 set completely rebuild, the other in need of rebuild.
(3) 2 360 crankshafts, 1 is .010/.010 the other factory (i think)
(4) 2 - truck oil pans with pickups and oil pumps
(5) 16 rods and pistons
(6) 1 camshaft with lifters
(7) 2 sets of rockers with shafts, bolts and keepers
(8) 2 timing covers
(9) 2 harmonic balancers
(10) 2 electronic distributors
(11) an assortment of pulleys, water pump cores, power steering pumps, starters, brackets etc.

I also have an Edelbrock Performer dual plane intake for sale for an additional $125 and a holley 3310 750 vacuum secondary carb for $100.

Essentially what is here is from the tear down of two complete engines, one of which was a very low mile reman engine from Marshall engines.

Total for both blocks and parts (excluding carb and manifold) I am asking $300 or make me an offer.

Parts are near Chicago. both engines are tore down to the block.

Anybody interested please shoot me an offer, I really am not sure what the going rate is for this stuff and am open to an offer. I know I don't plan to use this stuff so I'd be happy to see it go to a good home.

I'm looking for a pair of J heads with 1.88 intakes if you want to let just the heads go.

Yeah I could sell just the heads. Technically they don't have the J on the casting but are the 915 casting head from 79'. From my research they are the same heads. Are you going to be able to pick them up or would we have to some how arrange shipping?

(I am located in Portage, IN)

I'm not sure if those are the heads I need. The whole casting # is 3418915. They were used from 1970-72.

I'm not sure what that number is. Here's a copy of a chart from the Direct Connection engine book. All the casting numbers have 7 digits. The J heads I've seen have a "J" cast near the spark plug holes.

Yeah I am not sure, that is the correct spot to look for the casting number right? I know there is not a J on the head. The engine in which it came off of has a casting date in 79' but I can't say whether or not these are the original heads to that engine. I could not see any other casting number and this one seems to be the same number but missing the 1. I will try to look at it again this evening but I don't know what to tell ya...anybody else got any ideas?

I found a couple of pics online of the casting #s.

Yeah I went back out there and that is the only casting number I could find. There is another thread over on the A-bodies site where somebody else has the same set, apparently common on truck motors. (this did come from a truck) According to him its the same head. I can't confirm or deny its the same but from what I can tell they look to be of similar construction to the J-heads I have seen in photos. Large ports, open chamber design with 1.88 intakes and 1.60 exhausts (i measured them).

Let me know if you are interested, I would take $50+shipping for the pair (though shipping would be pretty horrendous as these things are HEAVY)

I just read the FABO thread, sounds like the same heads. I really appreciate all the effort you put into this but I'm gonna have to pass. I'm on the east coast so as you said shipping will be a small fortune.

No problem, I estimated this might be a local pick up type of deal with these. I picked up the two engines with the plan to rebuild one for my coronet but after researching what it would take me to build my engine for not a ton more money I can go with my original plan and put in a 5.7 hemi. I am sure it will end up costing me at least 1000 more to go this route but I like fuel injection so much better then carb's...I don't know crap about carb's but I understand and know how to troubleshoot fuel injection. I know weird right?

Price reduced!!

ok guys here it is the deal.

I am reducing the price to $175 for all the parts and $50 for the carb
I need it out of the shed guys, no room for more stuff! This is what I paid for all of it, and losing money on the fuel it took me to get it home, about $50 worth of gas :eusa_doh::ky:

Ok I am about to do some house keeping here this weekend. The 85' block is getting scrapped and the rest goes to the scrap yard by the end of February if nobody comes to get it. I will take $100 for the whole lot...I just need the space guys!

SOLD SOLD SOLD...took a loss but that's the way the cookie crumbles
