The lower motor pulley on my 65' 383 BB has an odd bolt pattern ; all the holes are evenly spaced except for one, is this normal? The reason I ask is that the damper on the engine has all evenly spaced holes, therefore I can only get 5 bolts to go in.

It was normal on the earlier engines for one hole to be offset... the later engines (1972+ I believe) used a evenly spaced bolt pattern.
