Is there supposed to be a cover for the lower steering column on a 1968 Coronet standard dash? My car does not have anything under the steering column and the lower dash pad that wraps around the upper portion of the column is not tight against the switch plate. Is there supposed to be a lower column cover that helps tighten everything up? I found a lower steering column cover on ebay but I am not sure if it is for a standard dash or ralley dash. Any pictures of a complete standard dash would be great.

Thanks
Dan

Was this such a dumb question that nobody want's to answer? I always thought dumb questions were easier than the hard ones.

My 68 SuperBee (with the 6 gauge cluster) had a plastic trim piece around the column. Would have answered sooner but just saw the posting.

Thanks but I have the standard dash. If somebody could take a picture that would be great.

My 69 RR's have a lower column cover. Just a thin piece of plastic that doesn't give any support to anything. The steering column on my cars push up to the lower dash pad fairly snug. The lower dash pad is held in place with its own screws. You must have something not quite right because usually the switch panel is very tight inside the lower pad.
