I need a rebuild kit for the lower steering shaft coupler, near the steering box. Does anyone know where I can find one?

I bought mine from a Chrysler dealer in our town,I think it was around $18.00

Got mine at Steer & Gear. They also had a run of the couplers made if yours is getting worn inside.

i will try my local dealer first...then def reach out to steer and gear. thanks guys!

Hey,

i had the same problem on a 1969 coronet r/t. I found a "spring clip" fix on ebay that mopar offered only briefly, i understand, in the late 70's. It worked and looks great. Sorry though never seen one before or since.

well...apparently as it happens more often than not, the can of worms has been opened. The steering shaft was hammered in...the coupler kit was installed, but the "rag joint" to the steering box is all the way out, and the steering is still tight at the firewall (not sure if that makes sense..i don't speak "technician" but I am trying.
ALSO, the d/side upper ball joint was WELDED to the control arm..
found a mouse nest in the rear frame rail.
Can't wait to find what else is hiding...Enough bitching..
Does anyone have an idea what to look for with the steering shaft issue?
