Made it to a T & T finally.

I know I have not been here much lately as I have been having a lot of health issue's with my bad joint pain and my knee and back problems. But I did finally make a T & T and made two passes as I wanted to see how the car ran with the Holley 950 HP carb on my car in place of the 850 DP I usually run. Bottom line is I had problems on the first pass and the car loaded up and stalled after my burnout. I got it fired up and made a pass but it was loading up and sputtering when I left the line. It cleared up at half track and ran a new best mph of 125.31 with a bad 60 ft and a 10.89. I went and added a few gallons of race gas and then the car ran fine. I got one more pass and it was a nice clean run for me of 10.78 @ 124.83. I was happy as it seems I can drive the 45 miles to the track and always run 10.70's and 10.80's all day long. It has gone 10.76 @ 124 with the 850 DP on a better day but all in all the 950 and 850 run about the same on my car. I had a lot of fun and drove it the 45 miles home with no problems. Ron

10.70.s for 1320 is nothing to sneeze at.
 
Yeah that is a ride to be prideful of. Wish the weather would smarten up here so I could test.

Thanks and you are right. But my problem is my health as I have a lot of joint pain and problems with my knees and back. So many times I just don't feel up to messing with the car. I wish I could take the time to do a lot of tuning but I am happy with how its running with this basic tune I put on it. Actually the first time out with the car jetted like this it ran 10.76 @ 124 and it was a good air day. And I really have not changed a thing on the car in 8 years other then trying the different carb. One day when I am up to it I want to mess more with valve adj and timing and try a single plane. Ron
 
Hope you get healthy quick Ron. Those are tough places to hurt...driving on the street like you do and pulling off 10s in that red beauty is awesome.
