Hey Group, Another problem with my '67 Plymouth Belvedere II 383 4-speed has found me.
We were out driving yesterday, just over 100 miles. It seemed to be wobbling @ slow speeds. I figured it was the tires. Today we went for another drive. This time was wobbling was worst @ every speed, so we decided to return home. On the way the left rear tread separated from the tire. Fortunately we weren't going to fast. Naturally the spare was flat. Good thing that Chris the wife doesn't get upset very easily. The tires on the car are /were 235/60/14 on Magnum 500 wheels. I think that the 235/60 are too big for the wheels, width wise. Since I need all five tires, the spare is a 775/14 & bald, I was wondering what the most popular size tire in use is. Also on the way home with the 775/14 spare on the wobbling was gone. Thanks Ray

How wide are the wheels? That will determine what tire width to put on there.

I have had 245-60-14's on 5.5" wheels with no problem....235's should be fine

the wobbling was probably caused by the bad tire with the tread getting ready to separate, once it did and you put a spare on problem solved.
