I have a late LA 360 (cast # 5300692) with hydraulic roller tappets. I want to upgrade the camshaft. I've read on other sites that the magnum series that replaced the LA after 1991 cams are interchangeable with the late LA (like mine) with hydraulic rollers.

Can anyone confirm? If not, how the devil can I get a decent street cam for my 360?

No fuel pump eccentric on a Magnum roller cam.

Depending on what years

Magnum (truck 5.2ltr/318 or 5.9ltr/360) hyd. roller cam motors
have 1.6:1 rocker ratios
if it's a cam from a Magnum, you need to go to a bigger rocker ratio
or it will be a dog/turd w/10% less valve lift

I run 1.7:1 on my Magnums, they oil thru the hollow pushrods too
not the rocker shafts, they are pedestal mounted (it's 10% more than the 1.6:1's)

LA motors/have shaft mounted rockers (same with the BBs, mass production crap)
are like 1.48:1 ratio to maybe 1.5:1 ratios in reality,
unless it's a 340 X or AAR motor
or a motor with the ductile iron adjustable rockers

www.manciniracing.com is a good start

At one time, MP had an add on eccentric available for the Magnum so it could be put into older rides and use a mechanical pump.

Eccentric is available from Hughes.
