My car came with these rims on it and as you can see the center caps are incorrect so I ordered the original center caps but they don't seem to fit. I was told since these are 15 inch they are probably not stock ones. Has anyone else had an issue with the center caps and if so how did you fix it?

The caps are the same 14 inch or 15 inch. I have not had that issue.Did you order the correct Inside retainer as well? The retainer for those spinners I believe don't work with a stock cap. They look like something from Ford.

I have the 15" American Racing Magnum 500's and bought the center caps from Year One, the retainers that came with them have 4 tabs on them that does not allow them to slip inside from the back. Quick fix was to grind off the tabs, perfect fit and bolted them up, don't know if this what you are experiencing.....

YearOne sells special retainers for use in 15" American Racing Magnum 500's.

I'm not sure what Magnums are on it. The retainers came with the center caps I ordered. For me it seems the bolts/screws aren't long enough to screw in or the retainers don't sit far enough in although visually it appears the tabs are in as far as they can go.

Monaco66Coupe, I agree, that's what I thought, the center spinners seem to be a Ford product.

Can you show pictures of the new centers and the retainers?

How deep are the retainers?

Yea I bought these also with the cap order I placed because I did not know the caps came with the retainers and bolts, once I saw the difference I sent the retainers back for a refund and took the tabs off the ones that came with the set....

Here is a photo of the retainer and cap. Seem to be good quality. I don't have a neasurement on it. I can get that when I go home.

MoparThunder that is what the set I ordered looked like, I took and ground off the tabs on the retainers and they slipped all the way in and made the correct contact, if you don't do that it looks like you would have to purchase the ones that Car Nut is showing, which I know Year One sells.

I'll be watching how you figure it out. I was going to buy vintique magnums, 15x6 and use the original caps from my OEM 68 magnums. The set I bought in 2001 was the same as the old OEM types, but I haven't seen the new wheels. Those retainers are nothing like the original. four holes and all,,,,,,
Is it my imagination, or is there no taper to those caps? The originals are bigger around at one end than the outside end.

Sorry the photo is deceiving. I double checked and they are tapered. I will get back into it this weekend and see where they might be hitting. If I have to grind them I might as well either way i will have to buy new ones if it doesn't work.

You can purchase brand new OEM caps from Mopar performance. Any Dodge dealer, if those wheels have the same centers as the OEM.Are the American racing made by the Chinese? I heard they are different.

I bought these from a dealership - Mike Riehl's Roseville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in MN. I found them thru my Cuda forum. They are really nice and fair. I usually deal w/ Dave in parts. Has anyone else heard of them? Is there a way to tell what make rims I have?

OK caps are on. I just bought the next longer size screw and it worked fine.
