This is a Mallory Digital Ignition made by Mallory when it wasn’t MSD owned. iE: one of the good ones and a real Mallory ignition. It’s the 6AL or in Roman numeral the VI-AL 6853M model. Not prone to failures like the equivalent newer MSD units.
This was bought new and put in my 1969 Belvedere when it was restored in 2006 with an elephant power plant and a tremec 5 speed. The car was driven about 3000 miles then parked. When I revived the car with a 451 stroker and Hemi 4 speed in 2021 ready to run MSD distributor was used.
Super attractive real anodized red aluminum case just as Mallory did it back in the day. High quality unit. Works excellent.
