Mancini rocker arms made by Harland Sharpe

I'm curious if any of you have purchased the Mancini rocker arms either the 1.5 or the 1.6 I was told that they are made by Harlan Sharpe rocker arms have any of you encountered issues with them when you mounted them onto your heads like rubbing on the springs or retainers or anything of that nature.
 
I can't speak for the Mancini product, but I have Harlan Sharpe rockers on 2 big blocks and haven't encountered any problems with them. ruffcut
 
They are supposed to be decent. They don't have the needle bearings like the actual Harland Sharpe's. Some people prefer that, less things to fail. The Mancini H/S ones are quite a bit cheaper as well.
 
I chatted with HS about this. They make them for Mancini as the budget line. As mentioned above they don’t have the needle bearings. Still made to HS standards so I’m assuming pretty darn good.
 
I've used cranes without rollers on the shaft for years. I would not have a problem with HS bodies without bearings at all. I just wish Mancini had HS for Victor big block heads.
 
Okay well let me clarify something I didn't mean to cause confusion I wasn't doubting the quality that Mancini racing was selling that Harlan Sharpe was making theirs for them just without a few of the other extra components in the rocker arms or wherever you want to call it.

I should have probably made myself clear I have a set of their 1.5 rocker arms from Mancini I'm having fitment issues on my 452 heads and the rocker arm itself when it's mounted on the shaft and bolted down when you rotate it the rocker arm back and forth like the push rod would if it was actuating it it actually rubs the underside or underbelly of the rocker arm is the best way for me to describe it and I've changed out springs to a spring that was narrower on the outside to outside diameter but I think I'm going to have to go to another spring that's a little bit more narrow for some reason my rocker arms are hitting. But I have a buddy who has the same rocker arms on a set of Edelbrock heads and he had different springs than I had that were actually a little bigger I believe in diameter are not much smaller one of the two I can't remember on the outside of the spring diameter the overall width of it and he has no issues at all so I didn't know if maybe I had gotten a bad batch of rocker arms or something happened I wasn't sure that's why I was asking if anybody else has had any problems with him in any way.

I have used the 1.5s on three different builds now. No rubbing, no problems, worked well. I used a correction kit to get the geometry and swipe pattern into the acceptable range, but even without that there were no interference problems like you're having. Though I'm currently using Hughes rockers, those Mancini/HS units are good parts.
If you (or your local valvetrain expert) can verify that all the components/setup and head machining are all good to go, then you likely have a geometry problem that can only be fixed by raising/relocating the shafts and should consider calling Mike Beachel:
