These have been on my shelf for 15 to 20 years~~
The older Manley Valves are hands down the best Materials
and Manufacturing that I have ever owned.
The newer Chinese sourced materials are far inferior that they
have used the last 8 or 10 years.
These are the Old Version Severe Duty "Pro Flow" Stainless valves
that we run on our Stock and Superstock Nationally Competitive
NHRA cars. These are the factory size 3/8 valve guides (Also Oldsmobile)
and a drop in ready to use for production heads not some exotic size.
Our SS/KA Duster is one of the first at this class a weight to run a
9 second !/4 Miles (3400= Lbs./Stock Comp/Thermoquad) and sees
8,400 RPM's thru the light routinely!!
We have flow tested EVERY Quality Valve in the Market and these are
absolutely the best on a production based Small block cylinder head.
Beware of running a large Tulip head valve in this application as the loss is
significant in air flow.
Dues to material procurement issues and supply chain problems it is very
difficult to secure the new inferior (in my opinion) Manley valves and most other
quality pieces. They will tell you a month and then 3 or 4 will go buy while you sit and wait!
