Manual Brake Pedal Return Spring?

Trying to find out how the factory mounted a return spring on the brake pedal with manual brakes on a 70 Roadrunner. The only spring I see in my FSM is with the power brake setup and I'm not sure if it acts like a return spring or more for anti-rattle. If anyone has pics of the return spring installed on a 68-70 B body with manual brakes I would appreciate it.

Just had my dash out, and replaced master cylinder. No brake pedal spring. 68 coronet, manual drums
