This is probably a dumb question, but I have never had experience with manual brakes before. I have a 71 Charger with manual brakes, disk/drum and am parting out a 74 Charger that has an almost new power booster, master cylinder and prop valve. I would like to swap these to the 71 if it is just that easy. The 71 also has an aftermarket adjustable prop valve but would I be ahead to use the one off of the '74? Thanks in advance.

I did a similar swap a few years ago. I used the booster and pedals out of a 73 or 74 coronet that I found at a local salvage yard. Make sure you take the pedal assembly out of the donor charger. On the manual brake assembly the master cylinder mounts to the pedal through the fire wall. On the power system the booster bolts to the pedal through the fire wall. If you already have disk up front you should be able to just swap the booster and master cylinder from the donor car. The adjustable prop from your 71 should work fine or you could use the one from the donor charger.

As a follow up, this car has the disc brake spindles, but I have the 74 disc spindles and 11.75 caliper adapters. From what I understand, this swap is straight forward and any geometry issues are negligible on a street car. Any thing I'm missing here? It seems too easy.
