Between me and friend owned this car since 1985. Knew previous owner as well. Offering for $1,350 or best offer, and as I have access to a flat bed am offering free to haul to you within a 40 mile radius of my eastern Massachusetts location. Further may be arranged for a cost.

A view of its unusual seat belts - which I installed - and recommend for the interest value and for the feeling of security they give. It's a great way to get shoulder belts - two of them! - into these B-Bodies not originally equipped with them, without drilling any new holes in the car!

There would be a good project for the guy whos "son wants car", my favorite year too. That probably won't last long.

Any additional pictures?
Where are you in MA?
I know you say you're willing to trailer it, thats awesome, but I betcha I'm further than 40 miles from you.

Either way, you've got my interest.
Post some more pics of interior, exterior, engine bay, common rust areas, etc, and you just might have my money... The Dart will have to remain primer black. :D

I've looked at this thread 4 or 5 times in the past little while. For the life of me, I wasn't able to figure out why the seatbelts were unusable... haha, now I know, they're just unusual.

Looking for a good home for this wonderful Coronet VIN WP23G8A164035 The 383 engine starts well and runs agressively. I've known this car since 1985, and owned it since 1996. We also knew the owner prior to 1985. As you can see from the photo, new sheet metal is needed on the rear quarters. However, this Coronet has never received new quarters before. We invite inspection and help proving the originality of this vehicle! Full 5-point racing belts were installed to serve as the car's seat belts. I only feel safe with shoulder belts and these racing belts screwed into the factory seatbelt attachment points in the rear, providing me with the shoulder belts without drilling any new holes. This body, and to the best of our knowledge this entire car, is original with the following minor exceptions: These seats installed are NOT original. YES, the original seats are included with your purchase. A new aftermarket distributer has been installed. This summer an aluminum 4-barrel Edelbrock intake manifold was installed, but, the original Mopar 2-barrel iron manifold is with the car. In 1997, Auto Rust Tech of Rhode Island, the premier manufacturer of Mopar frame rust kits, repaired a section of frame at their shop, so the only issue with the frame was addressed at the place most experienced in performing such repairs. The work performed then is holding well - frames good. A full grey custom carpet is included with the car, I never installed so its unused. Please come inspect the car in person in eastern Massachusetts. We invite your inquiries and inspections to help us authenticate the car's equipment as original and "matching numbers". The Coronet has recently been inspected by an expert and pronounced an excellent candidate for restoration, but with new quarter panels and a brake job it can also be a wonderful road car without restoration. My only reason for selling is I also own a 1966 Plymouth Valiant Signet and I'm stretched like taffy by other responsibilities already. In addition, a friend with flatbed is available for transportation and the price for the flatbedding will be very reasonable.

I'm a little less than 60 miles from you and I'm very interested.
I need to consult with my father a bit and some friends, but I would like to come and take a look at it. I need to figure out whether it would be a restoration I could do myself.
I'll be in contact with you, probably by PM, soon.
I'd really love to have some better pictures of it, they'd help me figure out what else it is going to need to be really roadworthy.

comments from the owner would-be-seller

I see this car as a driver, not a restoration. If an owner can ignore a number of bondo patches here and there, put new quarters on it and invest just a little by taking the bumper off and welding a new plate at the end of the frame extensions, I think it can be driven two years. Of course this is all in my opinion - I'm not a restorer, just a guy who always owned old mopars, did his own work. You said your goal is solid and rust free - maybe doing a bit of it each year makes sense. Take a look at the pictures in the link and see if it makes sense to think of going to rust free with this car?
The thing is to drive it you've got solid floors, all glass fine except a small crack in windshield. All these amazing cars shown at forbbodiesonly are wonderful - but too nice/too valuable to drive into a high-risk area - well this is a fine b-body you can actually drive. Incidentally, I also have a 66 Valiant Signet convertible my reason for selling is two is one too many for me to handle. Thanks

MA. Folks, this will be a rust bucket, but, it's doable! Look at my GTX; that's a RI car, so, it was hit with double whammies; sea air, and salt in the winter on the roads!
