Hi, I am looking for some advice on which M/C to buy. I'm converting the front brakes on my 65 coronet from power drums to disks and I need a new master cylinder. I'm having trouble finding a power M/C that will bolt right up. All of the ones i'm seeing for sale say that the firewall needs to be modified. Any help would be appreciated on choosing the correct master cylinder. Thanks.

What calipers are you using?? Usually, if they're stock Mopar units the simple choice is a master cylinder from the same car.

Don't just "buy one that fits" because it needs to have the correct bore to work properly with the calipers you're using.

I'd place a email to Dr Diff and see what he prescribes.

Whoa there fellas, wilwood, inline tube, DrDiff... only he and his dog know what disc kit he's using.

Why not just use a four-hole power brake MC from pretty much any power disc brake '70s A-, B-, E-, or F-body? You can still buy them new and avoid a core charge.

Im using the Right Stuff disk brake conversion kit.

What bore size MC do the right stuff guys recommend for their kit?

What do they recommend? Looks to me like MC's come with their kits. Here's one from their website that comes with one of their mopar kits. It's a 15/16 bore, 4 hole MC that shouldn't need any mods to the firewall at all as long as your firewall has the 4 MC studs.

Thanks for the link, but Im looking for a M/C that comes with a power booster, and all of the mopar ones I have found come with a strange bracket on the back. I attached an image of one for an example. What is this bracket used for? My existing power M/C does not have one. Sorry if all these question sound stupid, Im still new to mopars.

That type of Master Cylinder/Booster is set up for a conversion for a non-original power brake car. It will not work for a car that originally had power brakes. The 4 holes in the firewall which the booster bolts through are not the same pattern as the 4 for the master cylinder.
