Hey guys,

My car had been parked for 2 months in the garage, since it was nice weather today i took it for a drive.
Later on i found a small puddle of oil on the garage floor and as it was very thin oil i suspected it was brake oil.
After some checking i found an oil trace coming from the flange between master cylinder and brake booster, so guess the rod seal is gone.
Does anyone know if there are still rebuild kits available for these cylinders?
I checked Summit and Classic Industries but did not find any.

It is for a Disc/Drum setup with Bendix brake booster on my '69 Coronet R/T.
Should be with 1.125" piston, my actual cylinder has the ports on the engine side of the body, the one below shows opposite side though, for the rest it looks identical.

Weitse,
That Disc Brake Kit has NOT been packaged by ANY company in over a decade.... There is NO on the computer quick fix.

The ONLY way to purchase them today -- is someone who has them New Old Stock... Which, I DO have some...
Because of their price, though, you ONLY use them on an Original Mopar unit... It would be cheaper, ultimately, to go with the aftermarket Master Cylinder complete... I have the American version of the Chineseum piece you can find on the computer....

That fact could change, with shipping to the Netherlands, because the Master Cylinder and packaging will weigh more than 4 pounds, the kit obviously will not.

As per forum rules, P.M. me, if interested.....Would not trust --- anything --- from the Chineseum selling reproductions outfit "year one" --- and they will undoubtedly have it on "back order" for the rest of eternity....

mobileparts, thanks for your reply.
What about Cardone Industries? Isn't this the OEM of these cylinders?
Summit sells REMAN core exchange master cylinders, which i think will be the best option since i need to order some other stuff there anyway i can add it to my order.
I will not return them my old core, will see after replacement to rebuild my old unit.
I will keep in mind you are willing to sell a NOS kit, in case i decide to rebuild my own original unit.
Like to keep the stock looks in the engine bay...well sort of :)

Cardone is a rebuilder --- and the very bottom of the barrel, at that.... Their nickname here in the states is
"Car don't"....
Have no idea who summit uses as their rebuilder -- but your chance of getting the wrong one is very large...
You do what you want, but you are asking for trouble, by wanting to utilize outfits that can't care less what they "spit out"....

Weitse,
If you were intelligent, you would grab one of my master cylinders and a master cylinder kit, so you are done in that regard, for life...
But who am I to tell you this -- I have been servicing antique and classic cars for 50 years now in 2021, longer than summit and cardont have been in business , making brutal mistakes, combined....

But, you are more than allowed to play games with idiots.... It is NOT illegal.... But you sure will spend plenty of extra money in shipping wrong parts.... Your call.....

PM send, fair enough that buying ling long products is not acceptable for brake parts.
