max wedge car owners

hello was looking for some information from max wedge or super stock car guru on these cars from the factory did they have a rubber or foam around the holes cut out on the under side of the hood or were they just cut and left bare with nothing thanks

Foam would have been on the velocity stacks.
I THOUGHT (NOT SURE) the cars would have been shipped from the factory with air cleaners installed.

*edit* I did find a photo, supposedly taken in-plant, showing a 63 dodge with the lightweight alum body pkg, velocity stacks with foam on them, no air cleaners, and the hood holes were plain.
