what's the maximum wheel width for a 30 x 10.5 hoosier radial slick?

I would say probably 9"-10" but it really depends on what size wheel well you tires will accomodate.

Chris,

We were running 10" tires with our radials.

I looked on Hoosiers web site and they say 9-10" rims.

i have a tubbed 65 plymouth but can only get a 10.5W under there.
its ladder barred.
I just bought a set of weld aluma stars 2.0 rear wheels 15 x 12 w/ 5" backspace and want to mount a set of 30x 10.5 Hoosier radial slicks and try them out.
What do you think?

I think that should be perfect. Will spread the sidewall out for a full footprint.

we ran a 12 in rim with a 30x10.5 hoosier radial. worked well. Dunno why u would want to run radials tho... dont last very long. They are also very sensitive to track condition.. u either hook and go fast or spin... just to let ya know.

If you're in need - I have a like new set of 28x14.50x15 Hoosier Quick Time Pros mounted on 15x12" Weld Draglites for sale. Also have mounted MT fronts to go with them.

Kevin, i thought you ran phoenix bias plys slicks?

Yha we're running Phoenix Bias now, but a couple years ago we were running the Hoosier Radials, with 10" rims.

They're worth at least a .10th but as you and talked they don't last but 30-40 passes and if you hit a marginal track you're screwed.

got my new 15 x12's alumastar 2.0 rears. putting the same 31 x 10.5w on them but putting on my hoosier 30 x 10.5 radial slick on my prostar 15 x 10's to try out.
