Get him in the habit of keeping the tools out of the working area when done with them. Safety first, always. Jack stands, clean shop rags, neat work area... Same with my grand-kids. Also take them to car shows.

I've got one daughter that can work on them, the others need help with washer fluid.......I tried

Yep, clean up is part of the job. Not finished until tools are put in the proper place and the area cleaned up. He's really into it, I hope it stays that way. He bought me a 71 Cuda (matchbox that is) for my birthday. He's a great kid
