My Tivo recorded a few shows in Fla when I see this Hemi Cuda come across the stage. This hood is up so the camera guy can get some shots of the engine bay. This car has hood pins on it and the darn pins are in the studs with the hood up. You know what's coming don't you? A guy walks over and closes the hood down on top of the hood pins and then does a double check on the hood since it did not close properly......I thought pretty stupid of this guy to do this.. But that's not the end of it. further in the show a Challenger comes across the floor and isn't the same damn hood up with the pins in the studs? And a woman this time does the same thing. Damn it this pisses me off. during the 4 hrs show ( I fast forward till I see a neat car or a Mopar) Only 3 or 4 Mopars to otherwise all GM and Ford during this time and these two cars are treated like dirt. Just venting.....Matt

Yea, Mecum and Mopar don't gel. By the time one rolls across the stage it's usually a POS and the commentators have $hit to say. I stopped following them a while back. Poor man's auction.

I've found no Mopars except Hemi cars get any respect at any auction. You hear the blather go on and on about every Mustang and Camaro, then you see a Mopar come near the stage and then "We need to take a commercial break. We'll be right back" and by the time the auction comes back there's another Mustang on the block.

I heard that they will be in Harrisburg, PA this summer and I will be there. Maybe I can get tossed out for letting them know about how I feel. OR maybe I can get hired as a commentator on the floor..... Yeah right!

I wish the footage they show was uninterrupted, or at least they'd pick up where they left off and not just show 48% Corvettes, 37% Mustangs, 12% Chevelles and 2% of anything else.

For instance yesterday I was watching one of the older auctions on Velocity, and there was what looked like a kick *** sedan delivery coming up... and they cut to commercial. Next car they showed was "another of the almost 400 Corvettes here". They should just call it Corvette and Mustang Showcase.

Those Guy's are FAG'S!

To me, it's not worth my time to tape it and then have to fast forward through hours of cars that I have zero interest in, plus all the commercials. I've learned that the eye strain I get from all the fast forwarding isn't worth the five minutes of watching Mopars.

Mecum broadcasts the entire auction live on thier website and they list the cars for the day so you'll know how many, if any, Mopars there will be.

So I took a look at the fags next upcoming auction to see if there were any mopars and found these. may have missed one or two not sure. I will be watching the resto mods closely to see how they go. If they go high then that would indicate the oem car is not as desired as a mod unless it's a specific model / year.

Thanks Bigman, that's a pretty good line up. Challys, Cuda's, Superbird, 69 Ragtop Bird, and a 68 Charger for Dick. Better book your flight to Houston RC.

...it's all Bull Sh!t, and $$$

I still watch it....via DVR

I guess a lot of these guys get their jollies buying or selling their cars at these auctions. It's like "OOH, OOH, Did you see me and my car at Mecum". To me it's a last resort. Like Sonny says, it's just too much time and trouble to get the car there in the first place and the commissions are ridiculous IMHFO. Oh yea, I agree, the announcers are idiots.

Mecum seems like a price shoppers auction, too many auction a year now {like 12 different TV auctions for Mecum alone}, flooding the market with crap, it seems that many of the same cars, are going from auction to auction... Mecum IMHFO It's not a sellers auction to me anyway, it's for the lower quality cars for the most part, or collection just being unloaded... but that's just me maybe... I like Bill Stephens one of the Mecum Auction Announcers was an ol' NHRA commentator/color guy, the other guys are just really Ford & Chevy people, allegedly experts/guys self admitted.... Mustang & Camaro/Corvette central, remember they made between the 2 of the manufacturers probably 10 times as many of them as MoPars.... IMHFO you will always see many more of the Brand X cars, than MoPars, at any public auction always...
