I am looking to do something with my 68 Coronet standard dash. Show me some of your dashes and how you have customized them.

Thanks
Dan

My son told me I needed something different on my Dart

Hey we have the same car. Well sorta. I love your dash, unfortunately I don't have rallye gauges. Did you do a HID conversion? I just bought the kit and am going to install when it gets here.

Yeah I did the HID conversion. Getting older need all the light I can get. You don't have rally gauges you say? My car wasn't a rally dash. Made a template for the autometer gauges you see there. Worked out nicely I think. Also went with a painless kit. Good luck on yours!

I don't know the first thing of making a template but I am very mechanically inclined, I just need some one to show me how to do sheet metal work. I only found one place on the internet that sold the HID conversion kits for old school sealed bulbs and it was $139 for the kit with HID in the low beams and Xenon in the high beams. I guess you could swith that around but I am not sure what the best set up would be. I am also thinking about LED bulbs for the rest of the lights but I will have to upgrade my flasher relay (so I am told). I have also read that the lED lights are not as bright. Thinking about doing the front parking/turn signals first in LED to see how they look and if the flasher is necessary.

What is a painless kit?

mine in A 67, polished looks kool but the sun glare is a consideration, maby powder coat or brushed would be smarter.

Dart Dash

Looks good, very nice, but I would take a few more minutes and line up my glove box door, with the rest of the dash, check out the pics, really like it, and not being rude, just my opinion. I see alot of hard work there, and it does look good.
