While checking my coolant yesterday, I noticed some sparkles in the water. I have a little magnet on a stick and it attracted the sparkles in the water. Not a lot, but enough to make me wonder where it is coming from. This is a freshly built (about a year old, less than 500 miles) 512 stroker. Aluminum radiator. I run distilled water and water wetter only, no coolant. Motor runs strong, great oil pressure (70psi at cold idle). Where could this be coming from? Something I should be concerned about?

The motor probably wasn't cleaned and blown out after being machined and assembled.

Maybe the water pump impeller rubbing the waterpump housing?
