This is what Chrysler of Mexico offered in 1967.

Obviously the flip around head lights were from the Charger, but used on the Coronet in Mexico. We didn't have any Chargers. On the dash it has the same switch to leave them open the Chargers have.

It seems to have a 1966 rear end and a US Spec front bumper though.

The seller is asking $6000 US for this restore-able car. It has a 318 under the hood with an automatic transmission.

I don't have any pictures of the interior though.

Is it worth contacting the seller? Is this a project you would take on?

Is it worth

I like it I think the folding headlight doors look great on the Coronet, almost better than the charger.

I'd make sure you know what it is first.
I thought the Mexican coronet were 4 Dr's. To top it off, almost looks like it's a factory coronet front end, because of the headlight harness.

Not all of them were 4 doors. I have seen this one and another one, this same color, that are 2 doors. I am sure there are more out there somewhere.

Lots of good info here. I guess I could believe it's legit.
So what do you want out of the car? That passenger fender looks heavily worked on. How's the rest

I had heard they were all 225 cars.

The OP car is in primer and the right front fender is not fitting too well.
That's just a bit suspicions to me.

Shouldn't it have an "AutoMex" tag somewhere?

I like my cars 110% stock.

I haven't seen the car in person so I am not sure what tags it has on it.

IIRC the Mexican Coronets had this rear trim with the badge being a Mexico only piece, and very hard to find. The car in question appears to have '67 Coronet 440 rear trim and also front grill surrounds & front bumper. So possibly a 440 model with Charger grill?

The rear of the car appears to be a 1966 model though.

It has 67 scallops on the quarters.

...and the sides have been de-chromed, no matter what model it is (unless WE).

OP has 67 front bumper.

66 and 67 Chargers had a 66 style front bumper because the turn lenses were in the grille.

I can only assume the MX cars also had that.

Just noticed the OP is in MX.

Maybe I'll pipe down.....

Yes the Mexican cars had the bumper with no turn signals. This has to be a US Spec bumper.

Is it possible to change the who rear tail light section from 1967 to 1966?

Yes, but the deck lid is different and would have to be changed too or the lines won't line up with the quarter extensions/light bezels.

Also, the 66 has reverse lights in the deck lid while the 67 has them in the bumper so the bumper would need to be changed as well.

...and you can't really hide those scallops.

66 had similar but larger tail lights with matching quarter extensions. The 66 trunk lid had different body lines & backup lights in the lid not in the bumper.
They could be changed over to a 67, but would need all these parts and and also matching wiring harness.
I like my cars 110% stock.
Is it worth the asking price? maybe to the right person, but is it as stock as you prefer?
