Michigan Bean Festival Car Show Pics

Great day for a car show in Michigan's Thumb area. Hit I-75 northbound,went about 5 mile-and stopped. @#$%!!! Nothing but brake lights for MILES. Fortunately,got off after about a 1/2 hour crawl. Saw this while waiting(and waiting,and...) and loved the irony.

Show was in Fairgrove;quiet and pretty cool little town. I could have retired there. Anyway,here's our stuff:

Tomorrow,I'm off to the Peach Festival in Romeo,MI for their car show. Should be some hot Detroit street stuff down there. Yes,yes,I'll have pics. Worry not,my friends.

Almost forgot...

I'm a nut about garage sales. "What?" you say? Well,let me tell ya,I've found parts,old magazines,parts,shop equipment,parts,leads on parts,etc,etc.. There were a couple of sales here in Fairgrove,and at one of them,I found this:

An NHRA poster-for a Sportsmen points race! Them's a bit rarer than National event posters. Cool find,but it was the only piece of drag-racing stuff I found. Looks like early 1990's,and isn't Palmdale closed? I hate closed racetracks...
