Two years ago I did a front disc brake conversion on my 67 GTX a dual diaphragm was recommended my Cass from Dr. Diff but since I had the original single Diaphragm unit.he said change the master, distribution block, and rear wheel cylinders with ones with smaller bores and you should be OK. He was correct car stopped on a dime and has been great until now.
I noticed my power brakes are not working, its like I have manual brakes on steroids.suspect my original Midland style single diaphragm booster has seen better days.
My question is has anyone rebuilt this unit themselves ? Are there special tools needed?
It has a rim style clamp to hold the two half"s together, was wondering if I could rebuild it myself instead of shipping it off.or have to give it up as a core.
don't want to convert to a different style booster, the dam things almost reaches the battery and sit up higher. thanks in advance, Jim
