I just finished installing a new summit racing oil pan and Milodon crush proof gasket on my coronet 318 / 727 transmission. Everything fit great and no leaks so far. But when I got under the car to inspect I heard a rattle from the transmission cover plate. Looking at it closely it seems like the rear rubber gasket lip sits past the pan edge slightly and pushes the cover plate onto the flex plate causing it to rub. Has anyone run into this.
