Anybody ever had there vent tube go missing on their mini starter? I was just putting my starter back in when I noticed there looked like a plug was missing. After looking at Internet images I saw that it was a vent tube. Any suggestions on what to do? I am considering taking it to the hardware store and looking for a plug or something to stick in there to keep water out. Would this be a problem? Who even knows what that vent is for? I tried to search the internet for replacement parts for mini starters to no avail. I would really rather not go scrounging around junk yards for this tube but could if it turns out to be important enough. The tube goes where that hole is in the top of the picture.

I don't have a reasonable answer on what it is for. I have one in pieces in the garage and can see if it still has that vent/plug if you want.

Thanks for the offer Rev. Here is my .75 cent solution. I'll trim off the head so it is just a tube. My other alternative was to shorten a 1/4" screw and plug it off completely.
